Overberg Jaarlikse Assessering(OJA’s)

Volledige “baseline” vraestelle vir gebruik deur graad 9, 10 & 11 leerders is ontwerp en is beskikbaar op hierdie webtuiste. Hierdie vraestelle is ‘n poging om alle werk in ‘n betrokke graad te dek. Deur die korrekte gebruik hiervan kan moontlike leemtes by leerders geïdentifiseer word. Dit sou ook as vraestelle aan die einde van ‘n jaar gebruik kon word.

Baseline papers have been developed for use by grade 9, 10 & 11 learners and is available on this website. It is an attempt to cover all work in a particular grade. By using it it should be possible to identify shortcomings in learners. It can also be used as final papers.

Mathematics on your mobile phone

Siyavula (Shuttleworth Foundation seeded project) have just launched a mobile version of the Siyavula Grade 10, 11 and 12 Mathematics and Physical Science WebBooks for learners to read for free on their mobile phones. This means that never again would they have to be without access to a curriculum aligned textbook. Whether in the bus, at home or in class, they can read it on any WAP-enabled (capable of running MXit) mobile phone.

The same Siyavula WebBook Series also features mobile textbooks for Grade 10,11 and 12 Physical Science as well as a CAPS aligned 2012 version for Grade 10 Mathematics and Physical Science. I would like to encourage educators to make their learners aware of this resource which is now available to them.
